I know I was just one of many who cried buckets about Patrice. We were children together and I'll always remember her as one of the sweetest kids on the block.

Yes, it was a huge blow to us as a class to lose sweet Patrice, who was a light to all.  I remember walking to seminary with her as sophomores, and how in love she was with Mike Smith, her sweetheart.  I will never forget the example of her father at the visitation and funeral.  Despite his grief, he wrapped each one of us inconsolable classmates in his strong arms and comforted us.   The Concert Choir of '68-'69 struggled to sing their moving tribute through their tears --I believe it was (appropriately) "She Walks in Beauty."  Til we meet. . .

I also will always remember Patrice and the way she touched our lives.  We all experienced such saddness when she passed.  She made us want to be better.

One of the first people that I wanted to be like in my life was Patrice.  Whenever I was around her, it almost seemed like I was already in heaven, as she had such a sweet, kind aura around her--that you just felt closer to our Father in Heaven in her presence.  I know that when she was taken, I believed that she was so good, that it really is perhaps true that she didn't need to be tested, she already was needed above to influence in ways we don't yet understand--by so many.  I believe that she did for me, just what she did for others.  Her example to me still stands for so many things.  Kindness, compassion, goodness, friendship, reaching out to the lonely and always having a radiant smile and being steadfast.  I love her and hope that I will see her again, because she is still someone that I want to be like and hope that my Father in Heaven will let me rub shoulders with her again in another world...I still need to learn much from her!  xoxox Patrice, Lu Savage

Every single time I see, hear or mention Patrice in conversation, I miss her.  What a legacy for someone you only knew for 3 years of Jr. High.

As a new student at Skyline High School, I will always remember how friendly and kind Patrice was in my sophomore history class.  She truly was an angel, and she has watched over her family and friends for many years.  Her legacy of compassion, intelligence and humility will live on forever.

When old age shall this generation waste ... some like Patrice shall rermain forever young and full of promise. Over the years, I have thought how poignant her loss most certainly was to family and close friends. I really had only a passing acquintance - fortunate for me by being in the same seminary class our junior year, Everything that has been said in memory of Patrice resonates and reflects the impression she made on all of us.

I remember the assembly that spring for classmates standing for student body office the coming year. Patrice was running, if memory serves, for president of the Girls Association. Each person made their case either by way of humorous sketch or callow oratory. Patrice, choosing the former, suggested by way of self-advertisement that those who were to decide "Look for the PM Mark of Excellence." I can still hear her voice.

I was new to Skyline and very insecure due to family circumstances. Patrice was the pep club president. She always treated me like a good friend. I felt safe around her. I think she was just too good for this world. I remember her coming to a practice on Halloween dressed in a big orange coat with a jack-o-lantern face taped to it. She was always smiling. Having known her very little I still miss her.

what i remember most about dear patrice was when i went to her funeral and saw the outpouring of love that was there and patrices mother put her arms around me and hugged me, then after the services going to the cemetary for the burial and a bunch of the classmates stood in a circle around the grave and sang the school hymn...that is the very first time i heard that and i did cry...i made a promise to patrice that i would NEVER get behind the wheel of a car, and so far in the 68 years of my life i have kept that promise....god has another special angel that has received her wings and halo...may god bless you patrice and thank you for being my friend... love victor
