When we lose a fellow classmate memories of them still live through us and give us strength. The time we have spent with those we've lost makes them part of us.  Our thoughts are with all of you who have loved and lost.

Dan Judd

Artist whose parents were and remain artists. With his sister, they formed a family of artists--essential passion.  Encased in a home designed and built by his father, which was situated at the site of the mill after which Mill Creek was named. It was a place of peace and all ways was filled with the sound of water.  Mark, like the sound of water, inspired me to be in the moment.  I remember one evening being in his room, straw mat on the floor and sliding doors with translucent panes, when he showed me a small sculpture that he had created. About 10" tall, it was a curved branch forming a pedestal. He balanced a small wooden ball on the pedestal.  It would only stay when he found one precise spot. Mark repeatedly placed the ball on the pedestal until it stayed.  Also, I remember his portfolio of ink drawings made of thin black lines that did not waiver.  These days, I might feel his spirit when I am in a home in Logan, and wonder, was it around here that Mark chose to rejoin the Source?
