SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH-Our beloved wife, sister, aunt and grandmother, Kimberly Schroeder Evans, 60, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her home where she was a life-long resident of the Salt Lake Valley.
She was born February 4, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Jack E. Schroeder and Betty M. Hinkle Cummock.
Kimberly married Ronald J. Evans on May 1, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Relief Society.
Kimberly donated her time and efforts to the Loyal Order of Moose with any and all activities. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. She achieved the Honors of College of Regents.
Kimberly was the real Mrs. Claus and loved sharing her talents with all the children young and old.
Surviving are her loving husband of 35 years, son Devren J. (Ann) Evans, daughters, Sonja (Daniel) Gallagher, Eillischa (Russell) Smith all of Arlington, TX; three grandchildren, Madi, A.J., Garret, brother Kory (Colleen) Schroeder of Kirkland, WA; and sister Kandace (Bob) Cottle of Bennion, UT.
Preceded in death by her father Jack E. Schroeder and brother, Sanderson Kirby Schroeder.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
