\Edmonds, WA-Robbin Lee Traver passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2024, while hiking in northern Washington. Born in Casper, Wyoming, to Dorothy Jean and Jimmy Lee Traver, he grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. By the time he was a teenager, Robbin had become an avid and expert skier, and his favorite skiing took place anywhere he could find some deep powder. He camped and hiked nearly every inch of the Wasatch Range and the Canyonlands of Southern Utah. Robbin had interests in so many things: books; weather; flora; art; history; movies; biking; boating; photography; music; kite-making; international travel; and a true passion for cooking. He loved to cook, because he loved to eat good food. Robbin was very brilliant, had a great sense of humor, and throughout his life always had a large group of loyal friends. Robbin graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Biology, and later returned to get a second degree in Medical Technology. He had a lengthy career in Clinical Microbiology, and while working at ARUP Laboratories, he fell in love with his wife, Punam. They married two years later in June of 1997. Robbin and Punam enjoyed a loving marriage of nearly 28 years. Together they raised their son Neil, who was born in 2003. Robbin was a caring and highly-dependable father and husband. He loved to spend time exploring the outdoors with his family and friends. He always had a very positive attitude, even when things were not going well. His upbeat attitude and fascination with the world around him will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Punam Verma, his son Neil Traver, his two "little" sisters Rebecca David (Dan), Roberta Kreutzfeld (Jim).
