Well, let's see... Studied art direction at USU... moved to Los Angeles... Got a job at an agency in Newport Beach. Hated the place. Got a job at another agency in Irvine. Really like the people there. Transferred to the new Santa Clara office, which later moved to San Francisco. LOVED living in SF.

Our agency was bought by a New York agency which was in turn bought by another agency. While filling in at the old Irvine office, I started up a flirtation with a woman there. That started a long-distance romance. In the middle of that, the parent company decided to shut down the West Coast offices.

With no job in SF, I followed my heart back to SoCal. We married a few months later with a surprise (to our guests) back yard wedding/barbecue. We wore matching bowling shirts. Ah, the '80s.

Unfortunately, we both brought too much unresolved baggage to the marriage and it ended five years later. We're good friends now. We got together to celebrate what would have been our 20th anniversary.

Twenty years in California had me longing for a less frantic life, so I went job hunting elsewhere. That brought me to Charlotte, NC.

After a few years, my boss and I quit to go freelance. I gradually shifted from art direction to writing to directing and editing videos.

I come through Utah every four of five years to visit the siblings.
