Since high school I have taught Junior High School, served as Print Production Manager at an advertising agency, taught college (Ecology and Printmaking), and served in curriculum administration at the University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, and Utah Valley University.

My longest stint was as the Director of Environmental Education at Red Butte Garden, where I spent 15 years.

In 1973 I married a guy from Olympus (I should have known better.) He treated me like a child. We divorced in 1987.

I'm now married to a redneck from South Dakota. I dated for 18 years (never wanted to get married again). He treats me like a QUEEN. I finally married him for his health insurance (really!) We got married on April Fool's day 2010. He is a firefighter (now in administration) for the US Forest Service.

Thanks the gods I married him. I was very ill and in the hospital most of 2012 and 2013. That insurance paid out over a million dollars.

I own a 100 year old house (PAID OFF!) in the Marmalade National Historic District on West Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City. Let me tell you: stabilizing, repairing, upgrading, and remodeling make for a HUGE money pit.

I've been a stand-up bass player for the 30 member Zivio Ethnic Arts Ensemble since 1991.

Professionally, I'm now retired. For fun I do Graphic Design and Printmaking, and I've been making a ridiculous amount of money selling stuff on Etsy, eBay, and Amazon.com.

Pam (Pamilla!) and I became good friends during the Skyline years and furthered our friendship driving to the U daily.  She was always so very creative and interesting. We kept in touch through the years, but alas, not often enough.  I do remember fondly her giving me tours through Red Butte--she was clearly in her element; she loved that garden.  She possessed a unique, curious, brilliant spirit that defied containment, and she will ever remain one of my happy thoughts.

I can't stop thinking about Lester. I was always awed by his intelligence, sense of humor, and general eccentricity. I remember him making his original plans to bicycle around New Zealand even in High School. I was on his periphery as an admirer, but worked for his father (Lester II) from whom I learned much about Lester (Lester III) and got to see him once in a while before he left for NZ. Just this spring I had wondered what had become of him and "googled" him. I found out about his successful electronics company and how he landed in NZ, where he was later named inventor of the year. So sad that such a vibrant and successful man could be gone. There is an empty place left im my heart. Prayers to his family!
